AA 5 Tablet belongs to a group of medicines called antihistamines. It is used to treat various allergic conditions such as hay fever, conjunctivitis, some skin reactions such as eczema, hives, and reactions to bites and stings. It also relieves watery eyes, runny nose, sneezing, and itching. AA 5 Tablet can be taken with or without food. The dose required by you may vary depending on what you are taking it for. This medicine is usually taken in the evening, but follow the advice of your doctor on how to take it. You may need this medicine only on days you have symptoms, but if you are taking it to prevent the symptoms then you should take it regularly. – Alcohol : UNSAFE – AA 5 Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol. – Pregnancy : SAFE IF PRESCRIBED – AA 5 Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies. – Breast feeding : SAFE IF PRESCRIBED – AA 5 Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Larger doses or more prolonged use of AA 5 Tablet may cause drowsiness and other effects in the baby or decrease the milk supply – Driving : UNSAFE – AA 5 Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur. – Kidney : CAUTION – AA 5 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of AA 5 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Use of AA 5 Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease. – Liver : SAFE IF PRESCRIBED – AA 5 Tablet is safe to use in patients with liver disease. No dose adjustment of AA 5 Tablet is recommended.

IF MISS

If you miss a dose of AA 5 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
