Shylin Tablet is a prescription medicine that has a combination of medicines that is used to treat nausea and vomiting during pregnancy. It helps in controlling the feeling of nausea and vomiting. It replenishes the body with essential nutrients. Shylin Tablet has all active forms of vitamins which help in preventing neural tube defects, pregnancy-related anemia and associated complications of pregnancy due to elevated homocysteine levels. It should be used in the dose and duration as advised by the doctor. Check the label before use. The most common side effects of this medicine include dryness in the mouth, constipation, lightheadedness, and drowsiness. If any of these side effects bother you or get worse, you should speak to your doctor. Your doctor may be able to suggest ways of preventing or reducing the side effects. HOW TO USE
Shylin Tablet is a combination of four medicines: Doxylamine, Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine), L-Methyl Folate Calcium and Methylcobalamin which treat nausea and vomiting associated with pregnancy. Doxylamine is an antihistamine which works by blocking the action of a chemical messenger (histamine), thereby controlling nausea, vomiting, and dizziness. Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine) is a form of vitamin B which possesses anti-nausea properties. L-Methyl Folate Calcium and Methylcobalamin provide essential nutrients.

Larger doses or prolonged use of Shylin Tablet may cause sleepiness and other effects in the baby – Driving : UNSAFE – Shylin Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur. – Kidney : SAFE IF PRESCRIBED – Shylin Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Shylin Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor. – Liver : SAFE IF PRESCRIBED – Shylin Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. IF MISS
If you miss a dose of Shylin Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
